Biography

Ryogo Kubo, Ph.D.

Ryogo Kubo received his B.E. degree in system design engineering and his M.E. and Ph.D. degrees in integrated design engineering from Keio University, Japan, in 2005, 2007, and 2009, respectively. In 2007, he joined the NTT Access Network Service Systems Laboratories, NTT Corporation, Japan. Since 2010, he has been with Keio University, Japan, where he is currently a Professor at the Department of Electronics and Electrical Engineering. From 2019 to 2020, he also held the position of Honorary Research Fellow at the Department of Electronic and Electrical Engineering, University College London (UCL), UK. His research interests include system control, communication systems, networking, and cyber-physical systems.

He is a Member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), Association for Computing Machinery (ACM), Optica, the Institute of Electrical Engineers of Japan (IEEJ), the Institute of Electronics, Information and Communication Engineers (IEICE), and the Society of Instrument and Control Engineers (SICE). He has published over 100 peer-reviewed journal and conference papers in the field of communications and control engineering. He received the Best Paper Award from the IEICE Communications Society in 2011 and the Leonard G. Abraham Prize from the IEEE Communications Society in 2013. He has also received many other awards from academic societies, conferences, and foundations, including the IEEE International Conference on Communications (ICC) Best Paper Award in 2012.
